True Faith Inspirational Baptist Church was established under the leadership of The Reverend Dr. John L. Giles on April 24, 1994. Immediately the church grew in membership and in her impact in the surrounding community. In 1997, 2.7 acres of land was purchased on St. Peter Avenue. In March 2001, through God's grace and a determination by the Pastor and congregation, ground was broken to build a multi-purpose building and worship center. For more than eight years, the Hillsborough County Schools partnered with us to provide an Adult GED program and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Over 700 persons were served. We also provide Daycare services on site.

True Faith is a traditional Baptist church which seeks to be relevant by offering active ministries that address and engage the entire family including Children and Youth, Women and Men and is intentional in providing missions and ministry to the community surrounding our church and the world.

After 17 years, on May 2010, Reverend John L. Giles, our founding pastor, retired and moved back to his beloved home state of California.  After his departure, the church had two more pastors over the next six years, Reverend Xavier Johnson and Reverend Dr. Brett Snowden.  In March 2017, Reverend Snowden left to pastor another church in Tampa.  For more than five months, Reverend John W. McKenzie drove over an hour to Tampa each week for Bible Study and Sunday services to assist the church.  On Sunday, November 12, 2017, the church membership overwhelmingly voted Reverend John W. McKenzie to be the Pastor and Leader of True Faith.
